I put in an update above. At the time I thought it was a brilliant bit of "social engineering". I know you guys spent $$ at the place, so they didn't have anything to complain about. Bigger house means we get to come back next time. Didn't affect my payoff at all, since the worker's cut didn't come from the gate (came from how many tickets we sold individually). I thought the whole thing was pretty funny. I think I'll just live in my fantasy world on this one so as not to disturb the memory ;-) "O" and "G" did actually referee some matches at a charity event (Nov 2001 I think), so they technically were "official" referees. Any time I wasn't charged a cover, I'd just use the $$$ saved and put it into more food & drink at the Main Event. "G" and I used the same strategy at Blondie's in Brooklyn Park when they showed PPVs. After 6pm or so they started charging a PPV cover, so we'd show up around 5:45 and spend more on food & drink until the PPV started. P.S. I'm still in awe of the Main Event waitress who would remember our drink orders from previous months. To this day, she's the only person I've tipped more than 100%. Wait.
