I was shopping at Target earlier today for a kid’s birthday gift. I ended up heading down the action figure aisle and ended up coming across the WWE Wrestling Jakks Pacific Deluxe Aggression Series 10 Daivari Action Figure.
Not only do you get the action figure, but you also get the accessories. He comes with a “denting folding chair”. Hours of fun for the whole family I’m sure. Or at least enough fun enough to inspire a guy to record a 17 minute out-of-focus video of him playing with it.
[If you’re interested in seeing actual video clips of Daivari’s matches, you can see some at this site and most likely others.]
As I’ve written a couple of times before, “Shawn” Daivari trained in Eddie Sharkey and Terry Fox‘s wresting training camp when I was there.
I guess after making it to the WWE, wrestling at places like Madison Square Garden and Wembley Stadium, wrestling guys like Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels, and wrestling at Wrestlemania and several Pay-Per-Views, the next accollade would be having your own official action figure.
I’m sure it’s been out for a while, and it looks like there have been other action figures as well (where he was paired as a manager with Muhammad Hassan and The Great Kahli), but this is the first time I’ve seen it in a store. I still think it’s pretty cool.
Did you see any Mr. Kennedy action figures on the pegs? At the Target near my house I almost always see 3-5 Mr. Kennedy figures there.
I don’t remember if I saw any Mr. Kennedy. I saw a bunch of Kenny Dykstra ones and I think a Rob Conway.
I also didn’t mention that Daivari’s action figure was “priced to move” 😉
